Teaching students the many twists and turns of maintaining ethical business practice - How do you handle a co-worker who frequently forges the truth – or a boss who undermines the system for personal gain? What steps can you take to ensure a healthy, ethical environment at work and in your personal life? New students gained tools and developed skills to answer these questions and more at the inaugural Ethics Boot Camp at the Colorado State University College of Business. Scholarship Recipients afforded new opportunities - Melanee Sprenkel (’13) knows all about being busy. While taking an 18 credit-hour course load in Fall 2012, she found the time to work 10 hours per week as the student coordinator for Colorado State University’s Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance, complete a financial analysis certificate, work on a certificate in international business, and draft her thesis. Though you may be exhausted just thinking about such a schedule, Sprenkel handles all the pressure with cheerful grace. CIS Celebrating 50 Years - Colorado State University’s Computer Information Systems program celebrated its 50th anniversary on Oct. 26 with a series of events involving guest speakers, alumni from the 1960s to the present, and the annual meeting of the CIS Advisory Council.
